This charcoal drawing was inspired by a photograph with a lightning I liked. That’s about the only thing that this little piece has in common with the photo. As I was making progress with it, facial features changed, the girl grew unruly hair that later became wet and unruly. Those matched the new face much better. It’s interesting how a realistic artwork can almost draw itself.
