Galaxy was living at the boarding facility across the road from our house back in California. She was a rescue without proper papers and no name.
The kind lady who bought her out named her Galaxy because instead of dapples that gray horses often have on their coat, Galaxy had small bursts of white hairs on areas of darker gray. Almost like stars in the dark sky!
It was a pleasure and a very valuable experience for me to observe the horse in person before drawing her.
