Limited edition of only 25 giclee prints is available upon request. Once all 25 of the giclee prints in this edition have sold out, no more limited edition prints of “Newborn” will be available. Each print in the edition is made with archival quality inks on the archival fine art paper. Colors are faithful to the original drawing and will not change over time. Newborn – colored pencil on paper, 11″ x 14″
Price range: $5.00 through $750.00
I only saw a live newborn foal once at the Tersk Stud in the Northern Caucasus. He was prancing around his mother who busily grazed on the first spring grass. It’s amazing how much energy can be packed into a small body that consists mainly of legs!
This portrait of very young foal was a nice detour from fully realistic colors and a few purely technique-related things I usually use.
Newborn won the Best Realism Award at the Fall Festival Art Show 2014, was featured in Beaverton’s Your Art Moment series.
The original drawing comes with a single mat and a protective backing.
If you don’t see an option you want listed below (framed art, no mat, giclee prints of different sizes), please contact me, and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
